Shawna is phenomenal. She took our needs into consideration and reminded us of our wants/needs when necessary. She went out of her way to help answer questions and always kept us in the loop. Shawna was recommended by a friend. We were working with another broker that was just not working out with our needs. Shawna came on board and was quick to respond, knowledgable and so patient! She really tried to get to know us on a personal level to make sure she understood what we wanted and needed in our new house. She is kind, personable and cannot recommend enough! Trying to get someone to truly understand you and respond quick is all we ever needed and we wouldn't use anyone else in the future except Shawna!

Home buying made SUPER easy!! We were brand new to the home-buying experience so we weren’t even sure what factors mattered to us most when choosing a realtor. Shawna was the first agent that we sat down with and we immediately knew just from chatting with her that she was going to be a huge help to us. Her knowledge and passion for what she does is obvious. We left our first meeting feeling like we were her only clients, and that felt important to us. Shawna always gave us the answers to questions that we didn’t even know we had yet. She was very good at keeping us involved and making sure that we understood absolutely everything. As first time home buyers, we were just happy to find something we liked. Shawna did a fantastic job of making sure we considered every single detail. Her honesty truly saved us. She wasn’t afraid to say “you can do better than this one”, “do not settle”, “we WILL find your dream home”... and that we did!! I would absolutely recommend Shawna to those who are looking for their dream home, whether they are first time buyers or not! We actually met Shawna five years ago when we were just looking, but not in a position to buy. She came across my comment on another agent’s facebook post and messaged me. We reconnected and it was the best decision we could’ve possibly made for our home-buying journey! Shawna is innately good at evaluating houses against the criteria we said we wanted. She taught us about what things to look for when buying a house, the ones that really would matter for the longevity of the home, and she stayed patient and enthusiastic, even when it seemed like our criteria was constantly evolving. Shawna was always available, extremely responsive, and she took extra care to educate us on the home buying process because it was our first time. She is also fun to be around! It made the experience infinitely more enjoyable to walk through homes and ease some of the inherent tension by laughing and chatting about anything and everything. Shawna is more than just a realtor to us - she became a friend, a confidant, a mediator, sometimes it seemed like she was a therapist, and once, she was even a taxi to help us get to a showing appointment on time! Shawna embodies “above and beyond” and we’re grateful for all her hard work and knowledge that led us to our perfect first home. We can not recommend Shawna enough to anyone looking to buy a home. Several of our friends had recommended Shawna Young because she was successful in finding the perfect house for her clients. Since we were first time buyers, we really wanted someone who was going to explain the whole entire process and walk us through it from beginning to end. We weren't sure if we were ready to buy, so we needed quite a bit of hand holding. From our first sit down with Shawna, she exceeded our expectations, calmed every fear we had as home buyers, answered all of our questions and let us know that we could buy a house in 3 months or wait 2 years, it was all up to us and when we felt ready. From that moment, we knew we HAD to work with Shawna. Shawna has an incredible talent of knowing her client's wants/needs in a house as well as personal taste and preferences. She always paid attention to detail, checking our reactions to different style houses and making mental notes of what we liked/disliked. She recommended several houses that matched exactly what we were looking for, but reminded us that there will always be more houses, so if we don't "get the feeling" with the house, don't jump into an offer. I really liked her approach with each house that we wanted to put an offer on. We would go through a pro/con list with her. This process ultimately prevented us from putting an offer on the wrong house, that didn't really check off any of our needs and would have been a money pit. I find this to be extremely valuable because we knew we could trust her and never felt pressured. We finally found the perfect house for us, and we got "the feeling" the moment we walked in. She truly advocates for her client, every step of the way, making sure nothing was missed with the offer, inspection, closing. She was knowledgeable thoughout the entire sales process and explained all of our options. From the get-go, we knew we could trust Shawna. She was enthusiastic throughout the entire process and was excited for us, which helped calm our nerves, since we were first time home buyers. She was very patient with us when we had questions (and we had 100's of questions). She always took the time to answer us in detail, so we had a better understanding. She kept us well informed of where we were in the process/timeline and what our next steps were. Even though she had a lot of clients purchasing houses in the same timeframe as us, somehow she was always available, making us feel like we were her only clients - that's service! Another huge benefit - she seemed to have a great rapport in a large network of real estate agents, inspectors, attorneys, mortgage lenders, etc. which made it easy for us, because they were pleased to work with her clients. You can really tell she loves her job and thrives off of making her clients happy. We are eternally grateful that we had Shawna as our realtor for our biggest purchase in our life! Working with Shawna at Donahue was an absolute joy. My husband and I were looking for a 2 family home as our first purchase and really had no idea where to start. She was helpful, friendly, and always very easy to talk to about our likes and dislikes.
